Surge’s breadth of institutional and private lending sources offer lending options in all asset classes and in a variety of loan programs. Surge provides advisory services by working closely with owners, investors, lenders and corporate users to develop and execute sophisticated strategies aimed at unlocking value, restructuring debt, and improving operations. Surge has designed a Cross Border Investment Platform that offers Corporate real estate financing for international, institutional clients whom need to find off market properties to acquire or dispose of assets in their portfolio, work on sale-lease back strategies or bring their business model to the U.S. market.

Sponsors with a repetitive business model no longer have to fund deals on a one-off basis. In addition, it is our experience that there is a process in finding a direct match, especially in the non-traditional lending platforms, so we use a proprietary system to match the client’s goals with the correct Joint Venture or debt partner across the country.

George Gelis is a founding partner and operator of Surge Financial Group, Inc. With more than 25 years of experience in diverse disciplines, Mr. Gelis and his team afford Surge clients a valuable perspective, both domestic and internationally.
As a real estate executive and architect, George has a proven track record leading complex, large scale projects. His expertise covers real estate strategic planning, structure finance, commercial office and retail development, condominium development, commercial acquisitions, dispositions of diverse assets, and construction management. He has successfully assembled and financed a diverse international portfolio of real estate holdings as a managing partner for the Tower Group and Parkway Management, delivering a 50% IRR to investors.
The Surge team and associates have a strong track record in all sectors of commercial real estate with national and international clients including funds, institutions, family wealth managers and private family offices.
